First let me say I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get the blog posts up. Between the long flight, the discombubalation of settling in, and then navigating the strange internet setup here - it has been a challenge to post. All that is behind us now and the posts should come almost daily.
Four students and two professors took the shuttle together to LAX. The security check point we went through required full body scans which was interesting, after we grabbed a bit to eat and drink before the flight, then met a fifth student to begin our long journey. When we arrived at Heathrow we were reunited with a sixth student and took a shuttle to our accommodations. There was heavy traffic on the roads leading into London and it took us over an hour to get to where we needed to be. Once we dropped our belongings into our room we headed out to look at our surroundings. The really tall rectangular building is Nido Spitalfields where we are staying for the next 3 weeks.
