July 16 - Kew (2)

Inspite of the rain it was still beautiful and peaceful, as the rain had undoubtedly deterred many from visiting the gardens. Please click on the pictures to get a better view. I've deliberately uploaded the some of the panoramic shots at a larger size so that the details can be enjoyed. There are greenhouses on the property full of plants from around the world, one of which is the largest Victorian structure still standing. These were sought after sanctuary with the monsoon we were experiencing. All the various groups serendipitously found each other near the end of our agreed time and as we were preparing to leave the sun came out – our stay was happily extended. We returned "home" at 5:30 to rest, do laundry, or just "whatever".
