Business week 2 has begun in London. This morning we were on the tube by 8:30 for our 9:00 meeting. We traveled just two stops down the line to Farrington Station and walked a couple of blocks to their London Offices. Project 3 is all about the park and what happens after the Olympics are over. London won the games because they had the best plan for the space after the games. We heard a great presentation on all AECOM has done and is doing. We also found out that they are pitching RIO to work on their upcoming games too. : )
After the meeting the we returned "home" and grabbed a bite to eat. Then the students went to work on learning about the legacy urban plan, and devising ways to promote and sell the property to developers. Throughout the afternoon the professors answered questions and helped guide the students thoughts.
Many of the group then broke for dinner (this blogger had a great lambshank pie at the local pub) and a majority of them went out to view the last Harry Potter.
