July 15 - Olympic Site visit

We had to be out of our hotel/dorm to get the tube (note motion blur photo of ride), to get a train, to get a bus, to take us on a tour of the Olympic Park. For the third year in a row we have been allowed to visit this highly protected site. All students names and passport information had to be sent in prior to our arrival. Our identification had to be checked again as we arrive. The bus once loaded, with screened passengers, was also scanned again for any possible threat. Each bus has a tour guide who gives the passengers a narrative of the park and it's development. It was amazing to see how far the park has come since we were here last year. The landscaping is being put in. There will be flowers and plants growing on the site representative from every country participating in the Olympics. We were able to see all the main buildings pictured in these pictures is the Cycling Center and Aquatic Center.
